Deanna Wantz
E-RYT 500, YACEP, iRest Level 1
Deanna’s yoga journey began in 2009 after a serious knee injury put a pause on her tap dance career. What began as a complement to her physical therapy quickly became something much more… she fell in love with connecting with her breath and the subtle magic of moving with intention. After trading Oklahoma sunsets for Tennessee hills in 2012, she enrolled in a 200-hour yoga teacher training with the goal to deepen her practice and make new friends. Deanna discovered that nothing fills her heart quite like creating a warm, welcoming space where people can breathe, unwind, and reconnect with themselves. Deanna then completed her 300-hour teacher training in the mountains of Asheville, NC, in 2022 and is currently pursuing her Masters of Integral Health with a concentration in Yoga Therapy at the California Institute of Human Sciences. Her classes blend mindful movement and breathwork, with a healthy dose of compassion and humanness. When she’s not on her mat, you can find Deanna tending to her garden or planning her next trip to check another U.S. National Park off her bucket list (all 63 is the goal).
